If you are craving for some authentic delicacies from your native places like Bihar, Balliya, Varanasi, Ayodhya Gorakhpur,.....then you don't have to go there immediately, just head to #RadissonBluMarina #Cp as here #ChefPankajJha along with his team has brought them for us as #PurvanchalKaTadka #foodfestival, starting from 29thJuly to 5thAugust 2022 in the evenings at their restaurant #FiftyNine. For ten days festival, the menu will be on rotation.
The food is authentic, simple and healthy. It is an honour and privilege to taste the food before the show actually started. UP ka Tadka, a mocktail, mix of juices with nice presentation was what we started with. The famous Litti Chokha....Litti served with Aloo Chokha, Brinjal Chokha and Garlic Chutney....loved it, generally most of the people relish it, Aloo Chop, Makai Chirwa Ki Tikki, Sigri Ka Chicken Seekh....served through a small Sigri on the table, was juicy soft and awesome, Fish Fry, Pani Puri, all have a great taste.
Purvanchal Ka Meat, Desi Murg Curry,.... distinct taste, both done without tomatoes, the real "mitti ki khushboo", as authentic as can be, Rohu Mach, Arbi ke patte is sabzi in curry....steamed and then cut into pieces and done in curry, Chena Matar, Laal Saag....Lal Chaolai crisp, tasty, Panch Purab Dal Tadka. Had a wonderful meal.
Dessert....Bagiya.... steamed rice flour stuffed with jaggery and flax seeds, Khaja.... made with refind flour and sugar, flaky, crisp and good to taste. Besan ka Laddu.
All the best to the enthusiastic team for the festival!
Had a wonderful experience. Food is exquisite. Ambience was good. Service was a bit slow due to an ongoing event. Nevertheless a fine experience. Courteous and polite staffs, ready to make the dining experience as comfortable as they could. Overall a 5/5 restaurant.
Fifty9 is located in Radisson Blu Marina, CP. It's a fairly big sized restaurant with buffets and a-la-carte.
I went there during their recent Andhra Food Festival, named "Aromas of Andhra".
It's a buffet with loads of variety of veg & non veg food in typical Andhra style.
There were many options of non alcoholic beverages and starters. I tried out the Fish(Tawa Chapa) & Chicken (Menthmkoora Kodi Vepudu) in starters along with blue lagoon and lamp soup (malayi paya).
The buffet had an elaborate menu, i tried the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, haleem, Pulihora Annam (Tamarind Rice) and Telangana Chapal, the fish Tikka.
The food was very tasty. The south indian touch made it all the more delicious. You must note that the whole menu doesn't have a single bread piece, so you might want to order it separately.
There was Khumani ka meetha (Apricot) & Elaichi flavoured Sewayi in dessert and both of them tasted very rich and flavourful.
Their service was top class, as you would expect at Radisson Blu. The servers and the managers were equally helpful and polite. I will try out their Sunday Brunch buffet, the next time I am here 😊
Ambience: 5/5
Food: 4/5
